Website cookies
What our website stores in your browser, when it does, and how to change your choice.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask whether we may use cookies to see how our website is used and which of our adverts work. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the website works the same either way. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, which is also at the bottom of every page.
Stored only if you accept
- Website analytics (PostHog), a cookie
ph_…_posthogand matching browser storage: recognises your browser when you come back, so we can see how visitors use the website over time. Kept for up to 12 months. PostHog holds our data on servers in the European Union. - Call tracking,
cham_ctin browser storage: if you arrived from one of our adverts, a random visit code and the phone number shown to you, so the same number stays with you if you come back. Kept for 90 days. - Enquiry source,
cham_landingin browser session storage: the first page of your visit and how you reached it, sent with an enquiry form. Deleted when you close the tab.
Always, because the website needs them
- Your choice,
cham_consentin browser storage: remembers whether you accepted or rejected, so that we do not ask on every page. Kept for 12 months. Our analytics service keeps its own record of your choice,__ph_opt_in_out_…. - Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA): loaded only when you start filling in one of our enquiry forms, to stop automated spam. Google may set its own cookie. See the Google Privacy Policy.
If you reject, or have not chosen yet
Nothing is stored in your browser for analytics or advertising. Our analytics service still counts visits, using a code that its servers work out from your IP address and browser for that day only: it is not stored on your device, and it changes every day.
If you arrived from one of our adverts, a random visit code is added to the links you follow on our website (?ctv=…), so that the same phone number stays with you during your visit.
Videos
Our videos show a picture until you press play. Only then is the video loaded, from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may store information in your browser while it plays. See the Google Privacy Policy.
More information
How we use your personal data, including calls to our tracking numbers, is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can also block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser's settings.
