Sash window restoration in Stevenage
Wooden box sash windows add immense beauty and charm to any property, but years of exposure to various weather conditions can lead to rot and a diminished appearance. Over time, these windows often lose functionality due to issues with their pulley and weight mechanisms.
Without regular and proper maintenance, old sash windows can deteriorate and rot, potentially causing irreparable damage to the timber frames. This can result in the need for costly window replacements.
At Chameleon Windows Restoration and Decoration, we are renowned experts in refurbishing sash windows in the Stevenage and East Anglia region.
With over 15 years of experience, we specialize in restoring sash, bay, casement, and sliding windows, as well as those in Grade II listed properties.
We take pride in offering top-tier restoration services, utilizing only the finest timber and glass available.
Reglazing windows with energy efficient VIG glazing
The good news is that you don’t necessarily have to fully replace your windows or install new sashes to maintain their appearance and improve heat efficiency in your home.
Replacing windows or sashes can be an extremely time-consuming and costly endeavour.
Additionally, it might result in losing some of the original features that contribute to your home’s character and charm.
Opting for sash window restoration, with the installation of double glazing into the original window frames, presents a much better alternative.
Not only can it save you up to 50% of your budget, but it also preserves your original windows.
